Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Jeremy Scott is an American designer who blends high fashion and pop culture. He describes himself as being fashion-obsessed from a very early age and studied at Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute, graduating in 1996 with a degree in Fashion Design. Upon graduating, he moved to Paris to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer. During his early days in Paris, Scott used salvaged materials and his strong will to create, and in 1997 he debuted his first collection.
Jeremy Scott's work is described as bold, playful and kitsch, which led to him accepting the role of Creative Director of the renowned brand Moschino in 2013, where he collaborated with adidas for over two decades and dressed a long list of international stars. He has devised instant classic Moschino pieces, which continue to be hits season after season, as well as collaborating with interior brands such as Kartell. He shortly became one of the most loved designers, appreciated by press officers, consumers and celebrities.
“I don’t care if the critics don’t like me. I want to be the people’s designer, like Diana was the people’s princess.” - Jeremy Scott
