Jens Møller-Jensen is a Danish designer who was born and raised in Copenhagen and studied Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen. Upon graduating in 1964, Jensen became the head of the workshop at the Royal Danish Academy and, in 1967, founded his own design office.
Since his career began in design, Jens Møller-Jensen has created a variety of industrial designs for various companies. His work is characterised by his craftsmanship and his ability to work three-dimensionally, creating the most amazing 1:1 models, used to give the decision-maker an authentic sense of the product. Not only has Jens Møller-Jensen worked in product design, but he has also worked with graphical design, such as signposts and boards for the Danish Highway Authority and a system of signposts for the Danish State Railways.
He is well-known for his work with Louis Poulsen, and also as the co-founder of various design socio-elements we still know today. The Danish designer organisation The Danish Design Centre, was located in his Nyhavn studio for several years. Today, his son, Peter Møller-Jensen, is in charge of the design office, making him the third-generation designer in the family.
