Front

Front is a Swedish design group founded in 2003, made up of two founders, Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist. Their work blurs the boundaries between interior design and art and aims to communicate a story to the observer about the design process. Front is an experimental and explorative studio, regularly playing with visual effects. Their designs often communicate a story about the design process, product material, or conventions within the design field.

The pair collaborate closely throughout every stage of the design process, from initial ideas through to the final product. This yields extraordinarily imaginative results. Their most renowned creation is their Horse Floor Lamp designed for Moooi, although the studio admits that people will either love or hate the design. Their work is displayed in multiple museums around the globe, including MoMA, Vitra Design Museum and Victoria, M+, Nationalmuseum, Centre Pompidou, and Albert Museum.
