Chris Basias

Chris Basias is a Greek product and lighting designer and the founder of the Athens-based studio CT Lights, established in 2012. Basias studied at the Technological Educational Institute of Serres in Greece. His education provided a foundation for his later career, developing his interest in product design. His practice combines design, craftsmanship, and experimentation, with a particular focus on handmade and bespoke lighting. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, nature, and childhood memories of the Greek countryside, his work often transforms familiar ideas into distinctive lighting and contemporary sculptural objects.

Basias has exhibited his works internationally, including at Salone del Mobile in Milan and Art Basel Miami. His lighting has appeared in notable spaces including Louis Vuitton boutiques, the Porsche Design Tower, and One Thousand Museum in Miami. Throughout his career, he has been awarded several accolades, including an Archiproduct Design Award.
