BrogliatoTraverso is a design studio founded by Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso in 2014 after the duo studied Architecture at Venice University. The pair have learnt how to blow glass in Murano and created traditional ceramics in Japan. Their work together as BrogliatoTraverso is described as simplistic, and they believe good design is all about balance. The studio focuses on timeless and functional design that can adapt to various situations and be used for years to come.
BrogliatoTraverso have collaborated with a range of brands including Magis, Penta Light and Il Fanale, resulting in them being presented with many international awards, including ADI Index, the Red Dot Design Award, the German Design Award, iF Design Award and the Good Design Award.
"Every project has its own story and every object has its special features. That’s why our aim is for our objects to fit in different settings. We don’t want short-lived bestsellers but enduring evergreens that you like to have around and appreciate. Before resorting to recyclable and recycled materials, products should be designed in such a way that you would ideally like to keep them a lifetime." - Alberto Brogliato
