Arash Nourinejad is the founder and creative force behind Anour, a Danish lighting studio renowned for its seamless fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Trained as both an architect and manufacturer, Nourinejad brings an exceptional level of attention to detail to each product, believing that even the smallest connection point can become an ornamental expression. His work is rooted in the pursuit of perfection and driven by a reverence for materials, structure, and quiet innovation.
The original I-Model, designed by Nourinejad, set the tone for Anour’s identity, a commitment to subtle luxury, technical excellence, and longevity. Every lamp is handmade in Denmark using carefully selected metals, many of which are hand-brushed, patinated or polished by artisans who understand the unique temperament of each surface. Nourinejad’s design philosophy centres on reducing visual noise while enhancing sensory experience, crafting pieces that are both visually restrained and deeply emotive. His vision continues to shape Anour’s evolving portfolio, which now includes both corded and cordless versions of the I-Model, alongside a growing collection of architectural lighting.
“Ultimately, I aspire to achieve perfection in my work. Despite my experience as a manufacturer, architect and designer, I am constantly exploring new ways to refine and elevate our products and processes. Like most of the great designers of the past, I find pleasure in refining the details of the product, so the joints become the ornaments of the design” – Arash Nourinejad
