Ana Kraš (b.1984) is a Serbian born designer and artist whose practice spans objects, lighting, photography, and fashion. After studying furniture design at the University of Arts in Belgrade, she first gained recognition when her plywood Hug chair won the Young Balkan Designers award and was presented at Salone del Mobile. This early success established her as a distinctive voice in contemporary design, and she has since exhibited internationally and collaborated with leading brands and fashion houses including HAY, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Ganni, Martin Margiela, and Etudes Studio.
Her portfolio demonstrates a constant dialogue between material exploration and form, with works such as the Bonbon Lamps and the HAY Ava Collection standing out for their tactile presence and use of recycled textiles and plastics. Kraš frequently transforms spontaneous studio experiments into refined, enduring objects, bridging the handmade and the industrial with a playful yet sophisticated sensibility. Her designs reveal a fascination with archetypal forms and simple materials, always striving to create pieces that carry warmth, character, and a sense of life within their structure.
