Alida Catella & Silvio De Ponte both work from an architectural base, but their routes into design are different. Catella’s background developed through interior design, space planning, and direct work with clients, while De Ponte’s moved through architecture, theatre, and lightscape design. Together, their work extends across interiors, lighting, product design, and the wider organisation of space.
Alida Catella studied interior design at the Atheneo Artistico of Milan and developed a small design firm into Coima Image, where she took on the role of CEO. Her work includes office buildings and private residences, alongside Marketing & Communication within Coima Srl, with further development through Dolce Vita Homes and the Fondazione Riccardo Catella, both linked to high quality and ecosustainability.
Silvio De Ponte is the founder of De Ponte Studio Architects and works as an architect, lighting designer, researcher, writer, and lecturer. After graduating in architecture and working in theatre as a set designer, he completed a Master's in Lightscape Design at Domus Academy in Milan, later developing research on the relationship between Light, Touch, Colour and Material to define new scenarios of living space.
