Adrien Rovero is a Swiss designer, born in 1981 in Switzerland. He earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design before going on to receive his Master's diploma in Industrial Design in 2006 from the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, ECAL. The same year Rovero opened his own studio in Renens, where he focuses on furniture, lighting and exhibition design. He also puts some of his time into teaching design at ECAL.

Rovero's work is described as inventive and imaginative with a keen observation for the needs of his environment - while remaining uncluttered. Many of his pieces are on display in various galleries such as the Kreo (Paris), Libby Sellers (London) and Gallery Ormond (Geneva), and he has been awarded numerous impressive accolades such as the Swiss Federal Design Prize in 2007, 2011 and 2018. His collaborations include a variety of high-end brands such as Hermes, Pfister, Droog Design and Lambert & Fils.

"Playful is a good word to describe my work. Just as long as people don’t call it humorous. As the Eameses said, toys are very serious. There is something playful and pleasurable about them, but it’s not a joke." - Adrien Rovero
