FULL RESIDENTIAL/DOMESTIC LIGHTING DESIGN SERVICE * - when to contact us? - Before the electrical first fix * - initial site visit or Showroom visit? - Ideally we prefer customers to make an appointment and come to our Showroom in Sheffield for initial discussions. We have a large Showroom (with onsite carpark) in the City Centre. We find this gives our customers confidence in the quality of lighting we supply and gives both parties the chance to ask questions regarding the Lighting Design proposals. There is no charge for this initial consultation and we encourage clients to bring architectural drawings, photographs, and room size/ceiling height details. * - what are the costs involved? - There is no charge for the initial verbal consultation at our Showroom. A quotation for the lighting design will be prepared depending on the size of the project proposal. We always recommend that a site visit is organised when an entire home is being built or refurbished. Hourly rates are based around £60 per hour but we prepare the full quotation before taking on a project so that our clients can make fully informed decisions. * - I live in London – do you operate a design service outside Yorkshire? - Yes. We can offer lighting design proposals throughout the UK and internationally. * - How will I receive the Lighting Design Proposal? - The full lighting design scheme will be sketched onto the architectural drawings. A full explanation of the proposals will accompany the drawings. If required we can also offer a CAD service. A full specification of suggested light fittings will be included with a quotation for supply. * - Do you offer installation? - No. We can recommend excellent local electricians but outside Yorkshire we advise the use of a fully qualified approved electrician.
