from David Village Lighting
Formed in 1978, Luceplan cements the idea of three architects, Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi who wished to consolidate the experience developed during their long-standing collaboration with Gino Sarfatti, founder of Arteluce. Sarfatti was an experimenter and acclaimed innovator in the sector of lighting fixtures.
The history of Luceplan is marked by well-defined constant factors from the very start – experimentation, research and quality, and by a philosophy focused on creating “beautiful items for the public at large”. This is the mark left on lighting fixtures that have not been designed for short-lived wonder, but to be the natural outlet of a continuous, ongoing drive dedicated to the essence of every project, a fastidious care of detail and steady improvement.

The Hope pendant is one of Luceplan’s most popular and recognisable designs. A series of thin polycarbonate Fresnel lenses multiply the light from the light source, recreating a pleasant, glittery and party-like atmosphere, sprinkled with thousands of shards of light like the diamond which inspired the name: Hope. The Hope pendant’s elegant yet unobtrusive design makes it ideal for use in both domestic and commercial spaces.
