Classic Designs
Classic Designs are defined by their longevity and iconic reputation
within the design industry which have often gone on to inspire other designers
and the products they make. Here are a selected few that have won the most
prestigious awards in decades past and have since achieved a cult status....
Compasso d'Oro - Winner 1967
Designed by Vico Magistretti, the Eclisse table lamp characterfully plays with the idea of
light and darkness with a rotatable inner shade. The table light is so iconic
that it now features in many permanent museum exhibitions across the world and
has been celebrated by the Artemide brand by releasing a special 2021 limited
edition with beautiful metallic colours.
Louis Poulsen PH5 Pendant Light
IF Design Award - Winner 1971
The PH5 pendant was designed by the iconic Poul Henningsen
who transformed the lighting industry with his wide range of three-shade system
lights, developed in the 1920s. The PH5 was then created later on in his prolific career and Louis Poulsen have carried on Henningsen’s
legacy by offering the light in a wide range of colours that stay true to the
original design.
Compasso d'Oro - Lifetime Achievement 2020
The Flos Arco floor light is a staple of lighting design and
truly cemented its renowned status is 2020 when it was recognised by the Compasso d’Oro Awards. Made in 1962 by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo
Castiglioni, the floor lamp still remains contemporary with a marble base and
steel arching stem.
IF Design Award - 1972 Winner
Designed by ground-breaking designer Verner Panton, the Verpan
VP Globe pendant is an innovative and forward-thinking creation. The pendant consists of a round transparent globe
which exposes an intricate and mesmerising system of reflectors, which made it one of the
most recognisable designs in the lighting industry.
Compasso d'Oro - 1979 Winner
The Oluce Atollo table lamp was designed in 1977 and ever since has been heralded as one of the most iconic lights of
Italian design. The table light brought a new silhouette and shapes to the typical
beside lamp and has gone on to inspire many designers and current trends.

The Red Dot: Best of the Best - 2022 Winner
Winning the highest distinction from the Red Dot Design Awards, the Geen-A floor light is the perfect example of a modern aesthetic, featuring clear and simple shapes for a geometric silhouette.
Santa & Cole Sylvestrina Portable LED Table Lamp
IF Design Award - 2021 Winner
The Sylvestrina is a portable lamp that is a modern interpretation
of old oil lamps and candlesticks. Combining old and new, this table light
features touch dimmer technology and can be carried wherever you wish for an
ambient glow and completely unique aesthetic.
The Red Dot - 2021 Winner
This gorgeous table lamp by designer Maria Berntsen is made
using top-quality materials, with a lampshade made from opal glass with a
brushed brass top and a base made from white marble. Formed into an organic
silhouette, the Glossy is an instant classic design that will remain timeless
for decades.
A' Design Award - 2020 Platinum Winner
Designed by Robert Dabi, the Poise table light is a
beautiful and striking lamp that has a slim circular diffuser and sleek stem
for a stylish look. The stem and diffuser are both movable for endless
possibilities and functions.
