Elle T1 LED Table Lamp by Prandina

Environmental concerns are at the core of designer Jannis Ellenberger’s design process and with the Elle T1 table light. Designed for Prandina, he set out to create a table lamp using as few materials as possible, from the perspective of producing an elegant, uncomplicated design that will save resources.

Ellenberger has succeeded on both fronts, fashioning an attractive and highly-functional task light out of a single strip of hot-folded sheet metal which acts simultaneously as a base, stem, and diffuser for its flat, integrated LED light source. The Elle LED table lamp was designed entirely without sketches and its intriguing shape – resembling a sort of metal origami – is a direct result of this unusual cardboard-centric workflow.
