Aoy Table Lamp by Flos

Designed by the legendary Achille Castiglioni for Flos, the Aoy table lamp has a classic simplicity with its round clear glass body and white opaline glass diffuser and reflector housed within. When lit, the transparent glass body which holds the opaline diffuser almost vanishes due to the radiance emanating from the white opal glass within and allows the Aoy table lamp to look as if its is hovering mid-air. When not in use the Aoy table lamp still has a futuristic feel and is a stand alone piece of sculptural artwork.

Achille Castiglioni designed the exquisite Aoy table lamp in 1975 and has been a seminal figure in the movement that saw industrial creations pair up with artistic design. Castiglioni has been shaping the art of our everyday lives since the 40s, and his designs continue to stand the test of time and remain current, a true testament to his design acumen.
