Valerio Bottin

Valerio Bottin is an Italian architect and designer, born in Padua in 1963. He graduated with a degree in architecture in 1991, and began his started his career designing commercial, residential and industrial buildings - before moving on to product design. His designs are creative but simplistic, allowing themselves to adapt to many interiors and décor styles. His work is timeless.

Bottin's collaboration with Foscarini began in 1993, he has designed both the Double and the Tutu lights for the brand, entailing lamps with a multifarious usage and style, made of blown glass - the Double and Tutu are two beautiful pieces of craftmanship.

With Foscarini, Bottin has created unique and beautiful designs, resulting in a long and successful partnership.

Valerio Bottin also works with the University of Padua, since 2011 he has assisted them in developing new lighting solutions and studying the use of LED technology.
