Artist shines a torch on David Village Lighting It normally takes more than just a few torches to light up West Street’s David Village Lighting. However, when world renowned photographer and light graffiti artist Michael Bosanko visited Sheffield earlier this month, the local lighting showroom was treated to a bright display like never before.
Mr Bosanko was in Sheffield to produce images for a new TalkTalk advertising campaign when he spoke with Lighting Designer David Village. "We had a chat about lighting techniques and Michael agreed to return after creating shots of the Botanical and Winter Gardens," said David. "It had to be completely dark to capture the shots so we were in the showroom at 2am. It was quite surreal to watch Michael at work, using torches to draw figures from light. The results were fantastic but as Lighting Designers we never imaged we would be involved with graffiti". |

MOONLIGHTING: David Village Lighting was awarded a prestigious lighting contract at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Sheffield based lighting specialist was chosen by celebrity garden designer Jamie Dunstan to light his P.S.I. garden. The lighting was based on eco friendly low energy lamp options and created a “walking in the moonlight” feel to compliment the exquisite garden. David Village said “it’s an honour to have been chosen to light Jamie Dunstan’s garden entry. The Chelsea Flower Show is such an event across the country and ww used the latest technology to bring the garden to life once the daylight faded”.
